Description   The Fair Trade Leaf Necklace is hand-woven and 100% eco-friendly. The leaves are connected by glass and wooden beads and accented with an easy to use and elegantly beaded clasp. Choose from the Mod Palette of grey and black or the Earth Palette of brown and yellow. This product is created by Tintsaba Crafts, a rural development project located in northern Swaziland that produces and markets quality crafts. The primary material used for their products is the Sisal weed, found in the outlying hills. The Sisal is finely woven and dyed with German eco-friendly dye, making Tintsaba's products 100% sustainable. Tintsaba provides income to over 600 Swazi women. Tintsaba is not only committed to economic empowerment, but also to the health and education of their crafters. The crafters are divided into different groups according to the village they live in. Each group has a group leader, a trainer and an HIV educator. Swaziland now has one of the highest HIV rates in the world with around 40% of its citizens HIV positive.
