Description   With the fair trade animal scrapbook kits, children can unleash their creativity and learn about fair trade at the same time. The tree-free paper and embellishments in each kit are handmade in women's cooperatives in Zimbabwe. Papermaking and wire art skills have provided income for these women to be able to support themselves and their families. The paper in each kit is made from fibers collected from wild plants that grow plentifully near the artisans' homes in both rural and urban areas. Plants included are the river reed, elephant grass, wild fig, cotton and sun hemp. Kits also come with Faux-Quills made from scorched reeds, which have helped save the lives of thousands of porcupines which otherwise are hunted for their beautiful, decorative quills. Choose from bug's life or wild safari.
