Description   A selection of Artisan made cutting boards. Made from "Smart Wood Alliance" certified Teakwood, which is sustainably grown forest in the Lake Izabal region of Guatemala. These cutting boards are plantation thinning, so the Teakwood used is predominantly taken from young trees, resulting in beautiful variations of color in the grains. The wood, however, is still very durable and very hard even though it is young. The Round Cutting Board is a great all purpose cutting board, or display board, with a handle for easy carrying or hanging. Care: Color may fade after washing; rub with oil to revive the grain to original colors. Frequent oiling with any oil will revive the grain and promote long life of your chopping board, however we strongly recommend using Mineral Oil. Size: 12" Diameter Country of origin:Guatemala   Producer Information: Made by a family of artisans who's focus is on developing sustainable relationships, creating products which are recycled or sustainably sourced. All the wood used in their products are from sustainably managed Smartwood Alliance certified forestry.
