Although small, these instruments have a great sound and make fantastic rhythmic percussion.

Damascus Medium Spin Drum: 8" long x 3.25" diameter
Gourd Stick Drum: 4.5" approx diameter (comes with a drum stick!)
Maracas: 9" x 3" diameter gourd

Country of Origin: Peru
These Drums are fitted with real animal hide.

Producer Information::

Tito runs a four generation family business in a region of Peru traditionally known for the art of gourd carving. In his workshop in the rural town of Cocas, he works with 10 of his family members and sometimes a larger group of community members.

He works in meditative calm without the sounds of electric drills and factory machines, as he hand carves these gourds. For hundreds of years Tito's detailed work has been done completely by hand. He learned his skills from his parents, as they did from their parents.

Today he works to support his family and community; and is helping to train others to keep this ancient art of hand carving gourds alive.
