    Native Leaf

Native Leaf works closely with producer partners, weaving groups and cooperatives who hand-craft their products. They provide financial assistance, training, equipment and design guidance while paying a fair wage in the local context. They advance up to 50% of the final product price to their work partners to assist them in procuring raw materials and supplies. The income generated from these handcrafted products provide a supplemental or complete income to many families. It's a small planet, they care and are proud to offer beautiful products in a selection of warm earth and floral colors, made without harm to the environment.

Many of their products are made from Romblon, a type of pine found on many islands in the Western Pacific. It grows in abundance by the seashore and is a sustainable resource. The sword shaped leaves are harvested leaving the plant to grow new leaves for future use. Once dried, the leaves are traditionally woven into sleeping mats, market bags and other useful items.

Native Leaf takes great care to research just the right dyes to use in their products. the result is the use of dyes that are certified non-toxic and low impact, which is better for our environment and the people who work with their products.

At Native Leaf they create a variety of products out of Romblon leaves, including coasters, placemats, and jewelry bags.

    Bitters Co.

Bitters Co offers well-designed, utilitarian, handcrafted household items from artisans all over the globe. Their mission is to aid these artisans in the resourceful use of materials and to help them maintain a high level of artistry.

The Flip Flop Doormat, featured at the online store is constructed by hand, with scrap foam rubber and galvanized metal wire. The scraps used from local flip-flop sandal factories would otherwise have gone into landfills. The sale of these doormats benefits the artisans who created them and the environment.
