Global Exchange works primarily with a network of fair trade importers who are members of the Fair Trade Federation, TransFair and other certification groups. We also purchase crafts directly from producer groups in many regions of the world. The following information is not an exhaustive directory of Fair Trade producer groups. Instead, it is meant as an opportunity to detail some of the concrete benefits producers have received by working with Fair Trade organizations. Many, but not all, groups listed are producers of products currently offered at some or all Global Exchange Fair Trade Stores. Our stores do carry products from producer groups not listed in this section. Where available, contact information is provided, in order to increase the direct contact between the producer groups and consumers. We hope that by providing this direct link to the people and organizations that make the products we market, we will facilitate increased consumer awareness about the important role of Fair Trade in the global economy.
