Decorative holiday ornaments ready to hang on the tree; made from tightly wound pine needles and decorated with colorful cotton thread. Made in Nicaragua by a woman's co-operative from a natural abundant resource, pine needles.

Sold as a set of 3: 1 Angel, 1 Star and 1 Ball.

Size: Angel 5"x3.5"; Star, 2.5"x2.5"; Ball, 3"diameter.

Handmade by a woman's cooperative on the Atlantic coast of Nicaragua. This group started with 12 women and has grown to 30. They are a member of WFTO (formally IFAT), The World Fair Trade Organization, out of the Netherlands. The sale of these baskets help to build a sustainable community in an extremely impoverished part of Nicaragua and are also environmentally friendly- pine needles grow in abundance in the region and are a free renewable resource.
